Harvey M. Rosen, M.D., D.M.D.
Dr. Harvey M. Rosen completed his undergraduate studies at Pennsylvania State University and then received both his medical and dental degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He then became a Clinical Fellow in Surgery at Harvard Medical School and completed residency training in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital. This was followed by a Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship at the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. He earned board certification in both Surgery and Plastic Surgery. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Dr. Rosen entered private plastic surgery practice at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1981 and served as Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at that institution for 27 years. During that time his practiced evolved into one that specialized in all aspects of facial aesthetic surgery from surgical repositioning of the facial skeleton to cosmetic surgery of the facial soft tissue components. It was during these years that Dr. Rosen developed many surgical principles and techniques that have become adopted by other surgeons around the world. He is widely accepted to be one of the foremost authorities in the world in the field of aesthetic surgery of the facial skeleton and its influence on the facial soft tissues.
Dr. Rosen has extensively written and lectured about these subjects. He has authored over 100 peer reviewed publications and numerous chapters in surgical textbooks. He brought many of his surgical contributions together in one publication when he single authored his own textbook, Aesthetic Perspectives in Jaw Surgery.
